iRacing.com has announced the release of the Michigan track for iRacing. The Michigan track is well known for its distinctive D shaped layout, offering drivers a truely spectacular driving experience. The Michigan track is available to download from the iRacing.com members page for $20.

Marcos Ambrose Joins Forces With iRacing
iRacing has just announced that Marcos Ambrose and iRacing.com are joining force in a marketing initiative, this will be aimed at his native country and New Zealand. Iracing livery will be featured on the cars used at Marcos Ambrose’s Racing School. iRacing is also in the process of setting up a base of dedicated race-hosting servers in Sydney.

Partnership between iRacing and SCCA
In a recent Press release, iRacing announced their partnership with SCCA (Sports Car Club of America). This news means that both companies will be developing several marketing strategies in conjunction with several upcoming events.
“We’ve been working with iRacing.com since before the product was publicly launched and feel that it is the best simulator for driver training and the best value available,” SCCA VP of Marketing & Communications Eric Prill said.
This partnership will also grant SCCA members a discount to the iRacing Subscription, to add to this the SCCA Spec Racer Ford (released a short while ago) is being included in the iRacing basic Subscription package.
New Software Release – iRacing
iRacing has announced that its new build has been released. Every 3 months they release a new build of this software. iRacing states that this build includes improvements to the physics modeling.
In keeping up with market trends, iRacing has also made the addition of Paypal as a payment method for suscriptions and extra purchases.
A new “Events” section on the main nav of the members’ site are tops among the Web changes. Also sure to be popular are substantial updates to the “Customize Car” section of the site. You can now add sponsor decals to your car – including new member-created club logos – as well as select the color and font for your car number. VW to Join iRacing for Jetta TDI Cup Training Identification
Volkswagen announces a partnership with iRacing.com. Online Competition winners will receive opportunities to compete in the on track series in 2010. In September, the Jetta TDI Cup series car will join
Competition in the online series is expected to be as fierce and exciting as the on-track Jetta TDI Cup race action. iRacing.com Jetta TDI Cup series participants will be battling to earn their way into the 2010 driver selection event and compete for the chance to receive a fully funded ride in the 2010 SCCA Pro Racing Jetta TDI Cup series driving the iRacing.com car.
Impala SS – NASCAR Nationwide Series, Coming Soon
As found in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series, the Nationwide-spec version of Chevrolet’s racing stock car is built to technical regulations similar to the pre-Car of Tomorrow Sprint Cup cars. iRacing mentions that “most drivers say it’s an easier and more comfortable car to race – a bit lower and narrower and with a bigger set-up sweet spot. ”

Talladega Track for iRacing Available Now
Nascar fans will be happy to know that the Talladega track is now available to be purchased from the iRacing site. The 33 degree banked 2.66 mile oval is famous for being the fastest closed-circuit track. The track is available to be purchased from www.iracing.com for $20us.
Ford Race Cars Announced for iRacing
We are excited to announce that iRacing will be releasing a series of Ford Competition cars. This collection will include the Ford Mustang FR500S and the Doran Ford GT-R.
“It seems fitting that among the first Fords we’ll produce are the current racing versions of a pair of 21st century production cars that trace their lineage back to the 1960s,” said Scott McKee, iRacing’s vice president of marketing. “The private Ford teams that campaign these cars in the American Le Mans Series GT2 class and Grand-Am’s Ford Racing Mustang Challenge will find the simulation a useful tool as they prepare for races, and all iRacing members will enjoy having these cars available for our own internet racing series, and the thousands of enthusiasts who are already iRacing members – including pros, amateurs and fans – will have a lot of fun competing in these cars when they are added into our sanctioned racing series.”
