Electronic Arts released some new Screen Shots of the 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco R. The Scirocco R features a modified version of the previous generation Golf’s 2.0-litre turbocharged engine which boosts power to 195kW and 350Nm.

Version 1.40 of the Silverstone 1987-1990 track has now been released, the original version was released by 7UpJordan on the 19th of March 2009.
There have been a number of fixes from the previous 1.3 release which are as follows:
v1.4 – Further Bugs and fixes from v1.3 as follows;
– Billboard corrections for 1987 circuit (Mobil 1 logo replaces Fosters Logo on one of the start/finish straight stands and Toyota logo replaces Shell oils logo on top of Race control tower)
– Press Center on top of first set of garages removed from 1987 circuit (this wasn’t added until 1988!)
– Small building at the exit of Copse moved into correct position between two of the Copse grandstands
– Static shadows for trackside buildings and grandstands removed – only dynamic shadows for pit buildings and bridges remain – big FPS gain through the start/finish complex!
– Updated texture for Shell Unleaded logo

Gamikaze.pl are claiming to have released the System requirements of Need For Speed Shift, these specs have not been formally released by Electronic arts. Its interesting that Need For Speed Shift won’t be supporting AGP style Graphics Cards, and interestingly enough the cpu specs for the recommended system requirements are well in reach of a sub $700us Gaming System.
Electronic Arts were hoping to make a Downloadable wallpaper available to the public today but as yet it was not possible. Instead they were able to post 5 new screenshots for your viewing pleasure.
The Skyline R35, Ford GT40, Lotus Elise, a 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo and a Mercedes Benz SLR are featured in these new Screen Shots.
There is news that Bob’s Track Builder for version 0.8 continues. There have been some bugfixes and changes to the track and wall surface editing. We also have a video to show off these new features.
There have been quite a few rumours circulating the web to the actual release date of Gran Turismo 5, as yet neither Polyphony digital or Sony have released a formal date and any claims on the web are unlikely to be true. PS3 Sense are also in their doubts with a number of dates being thrown in the air, its just a matter of someone picking one of these dates and claiming it as being the “official” or “leaked” dates.
Over the last few months we have been closely following iOpener Media with their state of the art software allowing players to race in real life events but through a virtual simulator. In the latest news Simbin have taken the lead becoming the first game developer to fully embrace the iOpener Enabled Software.
iOpener Media testing will begin towards the end of September 2009 but this is a major step in the project.
After much excitement FalloutMotorsports Mod team have publically released the FM Civic Cup version 1.00 This is the first release of this mod and it has been one particular mod that we have been very excited about. Although the actual Civic Cup is fictional, the cars are an excellent representation of the EG6 Honda Civic sporting a B18c6 VTEC motor. I can vouch for the highly detailed car models and excelent car physics.
