rFactor VS Live for Speed

rFactor

2 very popular titles go head to head in an all out battle.

We put these 2 games into review mode and find what these games do best, Live for speed and rFactor are both titles that have made their mark into the hall of fame of Racing games but you’ll find that although these games are both racing simulators that the driving experience can be very different. We look into the good aspects of each game and give a run down on cars, tracks graphics, controls and even multiplayer capabilities. Read the full comparison here

SimBin considers Legal Action against Slightly Mad Studios

minippd

SimBin, well known for their development of the GTR series are considering legal action against Slightly Mad Studios in relation to their recent comment found on Slightly Mad Studios About page found here:

“Slightly Mad Studios” staff formed the core development team on the critically acclaimed and multiple award-winning GTR – FIA GT Racing Game, its successor GTR2, and the classic sports car racing game, GT Legends.”

There is still much talk between the companies of claims that Slightly Mad Studios had formed the “core” development while SimBin stand by their development of those listed titles. There are claims that Slightly Mad Studios have a number of staff members who were part of SimBin at the time of GTR 2 and GT legends.

While Slightly Mad Studios push for their Need for Speed Shift, their choices of words have definitely struck a bad cord with SimBin and I am sure we will be hearing more of it in the future.

These potential actions are a result of Slightly Mad Studios and EAs announcement of a cooperation where SimBin games are referred to by Slightly Mad Studios in a misleading way.

Race Pro Countdown continues

There are only 3 days to go till Race 07 comes out, Simbin have left us waiting on the edge of our seats for this title and from SimBins gaming history this particular title should be no different. The full review should be out before the end of next week.

Its another step forward for both PPD and xFusion and we look forward to working together to building a greater racing games community.

PPD Racing Team Interview Dates

Next week between the 27th and 28th of February 2009 members wishing to apply to PPD team will be able to undergo the interview process, this will be an informal chat on LFS as well as a quick spectated lap around a chosen track.

Only 4 Days till Race Pro Release

We are very excited that there is only 4 days left till the release of the Race Simulator title Race Pro by SimBin. The title Race Pro for Xbox 360 could have some racing sim enthusiasts dusting off their Xbox 360 steering wheel or game pad. To really enjoy this game though we would recommend investing in a Xbox 360 Racing wheel.
